The flag of 1.811 did not receive any change after the separation of the Great Colombia, Congress met in City of Valencia and decreed on 14 October 1830, that the flag of the Republic is the same used by the Colombian union, only changing the shield.

The national flag received another change when the coat of arms of the center of the flag was removed and placed in the yellow stripe close to the flagpole, the stripes received the same width, by decree of April 20, 1.836.

On 20 February 1859 began in City of Coro the political-military movement known as "Federal War", the provisional revolutionary government decreed that the flag is similar to that of 1.811, with seven blue stars on the yellow stripe, but keeping the equal stripes.

After just four months, General Ezequiel Zamora, who had triumphed in Barinas, decreed removing the shield of the upper stripe and twenty blue stars were placed in that place, as symbol of the twenty states of the Venezuelan Federation.

On 29 July 1863, President General Juan Crisostomo Falcon decreed that the flag will keep the same ratios and colors that the previous flag, but the stars in the yellow stripe are removed and seven white stars were placed in the blue stripe, forming a circle with the seventh star at center of the other six.

On 28 March 1905, the general president Cipriano Castro, by means of a decree amended the national flag and the stars were placed forming a circle.

Flag of 1.930

On 15 July 1930 the National Congress enacts a law changing the national flag. It specifies that the seven stars are placed in an arc and not a circle.

The National Flag: 1930-1954

On 17 February 1954 a decree establishes that the national flag will remain the same, and The National Arms will be placed in the yellow stripe close the flagpole.
