The Guariquenian Coat of Arms consists in an English shape bordered in Or and divided per fess.
The Quarter of the Chief enameled in Azure (blue), shows a plain land on which appear a running rider trying to lass a bull in the middle of vegetation and palms, everything in its colors. This Quarter presents a semblance of the "llanos", the plain lands: characteristic landscape of the region where is emphazised its characteristic cattle activity.
The Quarter of the Base enameled also in Azur (blue) presents a natural landscape where is emphasizes a river, running between sugar cane plantations and banana trees, all in its colors. The Second Quarter rebounds the river that gives its name to the state and emphasizes its agricultural abundance.
As external ornaments the blazon shows as crest a hand maintaining a goad crowned by a Phrigian cap in Gules (red) enriched with a cockade in Or (yellow), Azure (blue) and Gules (red), all accompanied at the dexter and the sinister by two lances and two flags fringed in Or (yellow), Azure (blue) and Gules (red) crossed in saltire and disposed behind the field. The Phrigian cap symbolizes the Democracy. The flags and lances alludes to the enormous contribution of the llaneros (Venezuelan plain landsī men) for decides the Independence War in favor of the Homeland.
As supports appear a branch of laurel to the dexter and another one of palm to the sinister jointed under the base by means of a pennant friged in Or (yellow), Azure (blue) and Gules (red) where is inscribed the follow motto "SI AMAS LA LIBERTAD VEN A MIS PAMPAS" (Something like "If you love the freedom, come to my plain lands") in capital gothic letters of Sable (black). The palm and laurel branches are symbols of the triumph and the victory, respectively, whilst the motto remember the spirit who identifies the feeling and animates the life of the inhabitants of the State.
